Still looking for Pearson - scotland monumental in

I'm back. Still having some trouble with tracking down the pearson family in scotland. I have managed with the help of all you lovely genes reunited people to locate my missing andrew pearson. In looking for his father however i have come across a monumental inscription (not too sure what this is) that reads

Marrages
Gorrigonda
Containing

County Kinrossshire
Country Scotland
26 (against outside of above enclosure) John Pearson mason kinross with Ann Watt
14 Oct 1823
39

My question is what does all this mean - i don't know what a monumental inscription is i'm assuming headstone but i can't find anything on Gorrigonda or what the date is refering to. I was thinking that maybe this is the date that he died - or got married. Any help interpreting what this all means would be very much appreciated.

Thanks Tamara
