Find Ancestors

Am trying to find relatives of my father John William Jones who died in 1979 aged just 34. He was originally from South Wales but died in Mansfield, Notts.His mother was called Alice and he had about 7 sisters and a step-brother called Len. I remember Meryl who had a son Jonathan and a daughter Alisha, I think, the last I heard and Rosemary, but I was very young and the memories are vague. I would love to find some of my family in Wales. I have tried several times through this site and also the Samaritans but to no avail. The last address I had for Alice, Meryl & Rosemary was 4 St Catherines Street? Any information would be gratefully received. If I remember any more names or information I will post another message. John married Wendy Fewkes in 1966 and I am their daughter Diana. Thank you.

Have you got your fathers dob? Also if you remember more names just add another reply to this thread.

I dont think the Samaritans would be of any help Diana - you could try the Salvation Army.

Why dont you try an advert in a paper local to the areas you think they would be likely living,.

Have you sent a letter to the address at Catherines Street? It is possible one may still be living there or near there?

I meant Salvation Army.. Mad moment. Last letters sent years ago, have not sent recently.

John's dob was 12th October 1944. Died 29th May 1979. I am his daughter and was born 4 October 1966. I think I have a cousin Meryl dob 2nd October a few years before me. John had a sister Evelyn and another Sheila,not sure of any other names. His stepbrother was a Len Hepden. And his mother Alice died in 1984. Hope this information might strike some chords. Did you get deth cert. for Alice may give address of who registered it.
