Hi there

I am looking for any information of my gg grandfather James Horace Livingstone. Family rumour has it that James was born in Edinburgh, Scotland, which is confirmed by two of his marriage certificates. Although, the other marriage certificate indicates South Australia, Australia.

I believe James was born in about 1885 give or take 5 years.

James married Jean (Jane) Galt on the 7th January 1911, in Carlton, Victoria, Australia, they had one son Reginald James Roy Livingstone in 1911.

James then married Alice May Coghlan on the 9th August 1920, in Victoria , Australia, children unknown.

James then married Annie Loretta Keys on the 4th August 1927, in Melbourne, Victoria, Australia, children unknown.

I have not been able to find a birth or death for James in Australia or Scotland. His parents on his marriage certificates are listed as f. Francis/Frederick Horace/ or Horace Livingstone and m. Annie, or Annie May Gardiner.

The last record I can find for James is his marriage certificate to Annie Loretta Keys in 1927 where his residence is given as the Border Inn Hotel, Bacchus Marsh, Victoria, Australia, and Annie’s was the Exchange Hotel in Foster, Victoria, Australia.

Unfortunately, all my searching has lead to dead ends with James and I would like to know what happened to him. Family rumour has it he went back to Scotland.

If you have any information on James or any other family members could you please help me.
