Woollen Mills in Holbeck - Thomas Hiscox (or Hisco

A member very kindly sent me an e-mail with the information that Thomas Hiscoe married Elizabeth? (guessing about 1860) they were wealthy of independant means and owned woollen mills in Holbeck, Leeds. His father came from Germany/Russia and changed his name by deed poll from Hiscox to Hiscoe.

I have tried to confirm this information but despite looking on the web I can't find any trace of woollen mills being owned by either a Hiscoe or Hiscox!

Would appreciate any suggestions.

Thank you
Jane
