Hi Deborah,
i was in the Dublin research rooms to-day looking up some certs for someone and had a look for Charles Martins Death in the book the only two that i could see were
Martin Charles aged 62 Lisnaskea Vol.3 page 131 1st quarter. year of the book 1914.
Martin Charles aged 81 Cork Vol.5 Page 128 Quarter 1st. Year of the book 1915
One is 9 years out and the other Cork one is 10 years out by the years 1834----1915.
The Cork one might be it if people thought that he told them that he was born in a different year.
Betty.

In the Waterford area of Ireland their is a site called the Horizon Information Portal which hold information of deaths in and around that sort of time ,but i'am unsure it is the same with Cork and Dublin, have you tried the Libarys their because this is how i gain access to the information. Also all local details worth having a look to see if they hold the information also.

Good luck if I can be of any help please contact ive found most of my relatives in Waterford through looking for information this way

Hi there,

Would be really interested if any of those who have access to Irish Records could possibly check for a DEATH/Census for CHARLES MARTIN, who died in 1914 either in the Cork or Dublin area. He was born in 1834 in Hampshire, Engalnd and he was a Gradener/Game Keeper on Lord Iveagh's estates in Ireland.

His wife was Emma Mitchum(or Mitchell - think there has been a misinterpretation of her surname over the years). She was born in 1837 in Wiltshire, England and died in 1909.

Any info would be wonderful.

Can anyone help?

Debbie
