	Could William b1893 actually be Scottish. Two things: 1. why if living in Essex in 1938 did he marry in Scotland. 2. Peat is more a Scottish surname than an English one. Have you tried to find Alfred and Annie on 1901 census as wondering if the occupation of Alfred is on Williams marriage cert.

Member Since: February 2005 Posts: 1 Send Message	My father was born Yorkshire or Darbyshire 1893 Name William Wilson married my mother in Scotland 1938. His father was Alfred and mother was Annie Peat. We've had no luck finding any family. His address was given at time of marriage 154 High St Maldon Essex. Thanks L Wilson.
