I am trying to find information about Charles Johnson 1846 born in New Brompton Kent and all I have is his father's name William.>>>>Charles came to New Zealand in 1870's and married Mary Agnes Butler from Stroud Glouscestshire.I can not find anything about Charles or family at all.Hoping someone can help.From Robyn in NZ

you may find something on this site
http://cityark.medway.gov.uk/
Down the side you will see cityark-searching open parish registers online.Once opened
you need to scroll nearly to the bottom of the page where you will find the area transcribed.Open church pages in that parish .
Parish registers have been scanned(not transcribed) so it is a case of searching for baptism around the time of birth.
