Find Ancestors

I'm looking for the Trott Family from Yorkshire who were guests at my parents wedding in 1982 in Staffordshire.
They were my grandmother's cousins (apparently) and came from Sheffield.
I've tried searching for a marriage between a Simpson or Ashley (grandmother's parents surnames) and a Trott but have been unable to find them.

All I do know comes from my parents guest register:

Mr & Mrs M. Trott and two daughters Claire and Kate Trott.

I'd love to find out where these people fit into my family tree!

hi this could be a possible marrige for the daughter.s depending on what age they were when they attended the wedding as trott is not a common name and found these in sheffield hope it helps but only a suggestion

there is a lady on here that does up to date eleteral rolls on here her names jean if you ask her to see if she can see the named above giving the husbands name first but telling her what the wifes are called on the rolls you could try wrighting to them and asking that all i can suggest

I don't suppose that there's anyway of finding more about their parents, even their fathers full first name?

I just can't figure out where the Trott line comes into my own!

don.t think so you would need certs to confirm anything if you found the girls birth registrations it would give mothers maiden name and then you would have to try and find a marriage between the mothers maiden name & a trott but the only other way i can think of is if you ask jean to do a roll look up for a family of trott s in sheffield with head of household beginning with m as that is what is on the invite you have put above

if you are going to look for daughters births i would suggest looking around very late 70s & 1981/82 in the sheffield area i would.t have thought there would be many if you include there middle initial as they would have had to have been born by then to attend the wedding lol
