I have an old A-Z and at Sydney Street, Chelsea there is was Chelsea Hospital for Woman - Not sure if this is any help to you.
Perhaps you could telephone Chelsea Library there is one Kings Road that is very near to Sydney St and see if they have an electrol role for1952 and check if your mother was registered there in Chelsea. It maybe a start. Good luck Irene

Please Please can anybody help me. I am trying to find Edna who used to live at 33 Sydney Street Chelsea and was a student school teacher back in 1952 and is my mother. I have tried searching records and at a loss as I thought I found her birth certificate and it is the wrong one. The name on it is Edna May Taylor born in 1932 her father was George Gilbert Taylor. If you are related to Edna May Taylor please contact me and I can send the certificate to you free of charge. So now if anybody can help me or give me any ideas I would be grateful. My name at birth was Christopher Micheal Taylor born December 1952 my GRO Listing is Marylebourne volume 5d page 388. I would be interested in anybody that does tracing of names and address and is genuine, contact me. I am 56 now and I think possibly that Edna would be in her seventies, she may even had got married. I am desprate to find her, as I seem to come up against a brick wall, so if anyone can help me I would be very grateful, and as I am getting older time is running out,in getting that chance to meet her.
Many thanks
Chris
