of 46 St. Mary's Terrace, Pendlebury. Daughter of George and Sarah Ellen Johnson. Died at 46 St. Mary's Terrace.

Clutching at straws here!!

I have a relative who was also killed in that air-raid in 1940 - he was 20 years old and had got engaged that very day to Elizabeth Alice Johnson.- stayed for tea with her family and died with them !!

I would very much like to connect to her family!

Her parents - George and Sarah Ellen also died that night.

I would like to find anyone with a connection.

THANK YOU Catherine - I think it may be a little early but it is worth following up on if only to eliminate.

I can't find a George Johnson to a Price so if this one checks out with Elizabeth A - I can at least eliminate.

If this is your Sarah Ellen she would have been 18 when she married William. It could be that William Johnson died and she remarried to George who might or might not have been related to George. If this was the case she would have retained her married name when she married George ie Johnson.

The above was only to show that perhaps Sarah Ellen did marry William first. William died and then she married George hence the reason why you can't find a Sarah Ellen Price/ George Johnson marriage but there is a Sarah Ellen Johnson/George Johnson marriage

I can't say for sure ..... but it could be the reason why you can't find a Sarah Ellen Price/George Johnson marriage. Birth Certs will always show the mother's maiden name regardless of how many times they have been married.
