Candidiasia,

In 1942 young men were sacrificing their lives on a daily basis, the papers would not have had enough room to print them all, also it wasnt good for public morale to have those sort of details put into print so I doubt you will find anything in the papers.

As you have all his details you will have to write to the ministry to get his records. WW2 records arent available online.
