William Thomas Pugh served with the British Army in India around 1893 and for a unknown time after that date. A daughter Eileen Christine Dalton Pugh was born around 1895 in the Quetta region, India. She married John Henry Mildenhall at Birmingham England on 30 March 1918. I have come across an application for a death benefit lodged by a Mrs Anne Pugh, to the Shropshire Imperial Service Fund in the period between 1834-1837, but have been unable to find any other iformation on William Thomas Pugh. Whilst I have found several in England census records for 1841 through to 1901, none of them provide a credible match. William's occupation on the marriage certificate for daughter Eileen in 1918 is shown as "Sergeant Major". Is there anyone out there who is in a position to asist me in my search ? |
