Hi Listeners,

I'm hoping that there is someone else out there who is also researching the Brehauts as far back as the late 1500's.

I have Pierre (or Perot) Brehaut born c1540 married first to 'unknown' Alles (d/o Francois Alles) and secondly to Michelle Jenemie (d/o Michel of St Saviours).

Pierre (c1540) has 2 children born before 1574, Leonard (died 1619) and Marie, but I am unsure who their mother was. Both are mentioned in the Will of Pierre Brehaut (born c1510-died 1574). In Pierre snr's Will he mentions the husband of his daughter, Perotine, but there is no mention of his son, Pierre's wife, which leads me to think that perhaps his first wife had died, but he had not yet married his second wife, Miclelle Jenemie.

After the death of Pierre snr, his son, Pierre, and his wife (which one?) had 6 more children; a son called Nicolas (or Collas) (born c1576- died 1625) and another son and 4 daughters. The names or dates of birth of the others are unknown as yet.

Leonard went on to marry Marie Le Messurier about 1600 and Nicolas married Rachel Lohier about 1605.

If anyone is able to shed more light on who the mother was of Leonard and his sister Marie or the Christian name of his first wife it would be greatly appreciated. I was told it was Michelle Jenemie, but if Leonard and his sister were the first 2 children I am not so sure that she was their mother.
