Have copy of marriage licence for William Spilsbury of Martley Parish marriage to Ann Cornish of Worcester St Clement in 1743. His age is stated as about 34 making his birth to be around 1709.
Neither his birth or baptism are recorded in the Martley Parish Register nor in the St Clement Register.

A William Spilsbury baptism in 1709 appears in the Eastham/Hanley William/Hanley Child Parish Register parents being William Spilsbury 1675 and Margery Hill of Hanley Child.

But I have also a copy of the details of this 1709 Hanley Child William Spilsbury marriage in 1737 to Ann Brettell of Austcliff Wolverley. In addition there are copies of indentures showing Ann Brettell as widow following the 1745 death of William Spilsbury 1709 of Hanley Child.

I have searched without success for a second William Spilsbury 1709 for the last 2 months in the Martley, St Clement, Eastham/Hanley Child, Shelsey Beauchamp and St John Bedwardine Registers. One William Spilsbury baptism 1710, son of Thomas Spilsbury 1681 and Lucretia Huntley appeared in the St John Bedwardine Register but I recently saw an IGI Extract that states he died in October 1716. Clearly this needs to be checked against the Parish Register.

Please ,please, Is there anyone who can help identify the parents of the William Spilsbury 1709 who married Ann Cornish ?
