JAMES ALDRIDGE (1832) STROUD

Trying to elicit information regarding James Aldridge, born 1832 in Rodborough, Stroud, son of Thomas Aldridge and Eliza Neale.

There are two possibilities:

1 - He married CAROLINE HOBBS in 1851 in Birmingham
2 - He married EMILY HURCOMBE in 1858 in Stroud and subsequently emigrated to New Zealand.

I am trying to elicit the correct James Aldridge and will try the forum here before biting the bullet and ordering marriage certs!

I think the James Aldridge who emigrated was a James William Aldridge, whilst the other was James H. Aldridge. Unfortunately I cannot find anything on the IGI to confirm the correct birth information.

Any help gratefully received!
