Hi, i'm trying to find the marriage certificate of my g-g-grandparents. I've asked before but had no success. Just thought i'd try again now in case otehr people get to see it and could help.

They were born in Coleford, Gloucestershire. Samuel Harris (1844) and Mary Gwynn (c1848)

In 1871 they were living in Hanley, Staffordshire at seperate addresses but by 1881 they were married and living in Wigan.

During the 1870's they had 3 children whilst living in Hanley; Thomas (1873), William (1875) and Albert (1877).

I have seen Marys maiden name spelt various different ways on different certificates; Gwynn, Gwynne, Gyinn and Wynne. However I can't seem to find the marriage certificate under any of these variations.

Can anybody shed any light on this?

Maybe i should change my name to invisable

I remember helping you the first time you asked for this look up and spending a long time doing it...it's not polite to ignore people when they ask you something

Apologies Julie, I hadn't noticed your message, I refreshed the page and it just showed up the bottom one, i should of scrolled up.

You're right though, quite a few people gave me a lot of help last time. I thanked everyone but we were unable to come up with anything apart from the census records.

Hoepfully this Ellis link will be the one though. thanks again for your help.
