Louis`s surname was often mistakenly transcribed as Pattison, as she was unable to read she would not have been aware of that

Thank you all for the answers supplied,most I do have but I do`nt know where the son Stephen Geoghan went after 1881 when they were in the workhouse.
The Stephen Geoghan death 1913 was my gt grandfather
His wife Louisa had bigamously remarried in 1885
stating she was already a widow! when she was in Stoke with Alfred Davis.
I also wonder if she was ever found out?
I do`nt know where she went either after 1901

I am seeking any information about Louisa Davis, she married Alfred Davis in 1885, in Stoke on Trent Stafford
Louisa was my gt grandmother her first marriage was to Stephen Geoghan and believe he deserted her. In 1881 she was in the Stoke on Trent workhouse with her children, Patrick, Grace.Laura and Stephen. The children, except for Patrick were sent to Canada in 1885.In 1885 when Lousia remarried she stated she was a widow.
