Member Since: April 2006 Posts: 63 Send Message	Hello. I'm back trying to find the marriage of Kate Hall and George Nichols. Someone gave me the date as December quarter 1883 1c 898. Unforunately that was the reference for Kate but not George. Also trying to find Kates birth. One document states she was born in Middlesex London another Limehouse London. Kate was 25 at the time of the 1891 census.Although without finding her marriage to george to find out who her parents were it would be difficult. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks Susan.

	Was she married to George Nichols at the time of th 1891 census ?

	The problem is: George Nichols is listed on page 898 and Kate Hall on page 899 I have checked on Find My Past and although difficult to read I think as Paula says it is page 898 So the reference is George Nichols Kate Hall December Quarter 1883 Stepney Volume 1c Page 898

	There appears to be a discrepancy with the GRO reference. I have checked Ancestry and the entry for George Nichols is 1c 898 and Kate Hall is 1c 899. 	Well, on freebmd (which you can check yourself free) there are the following, assuming Kate was baptised as Kate and not Kathleen or Katherine ! Does she have a second name do you know? I take it you have her name from a child's birth cert. The Kate born Dec quarter 1865 seems most likely. You could always buy the marriage cert using just her or the husbands name from GRO for £7.
