I've got that bit already. (sorry I didn't mention it) I'm really interested in who he married & what happened in SA but I'm not sure in which direction to go.

I'm trying to find more info on my G Grandfather. He emigrated to South Africa in about 1873, met someone on the boat & married when they arrived in Cape Town. My grandmother was born in Cape Town in 1878 & I believe she had a couple of brothers.

Arthur died "helping a friend" according to my Aunty & I think the family returned to the UK as my grandmother appears on the 1901 census. (Ellen Josephine Harrison )

Does anyone know where I can find any info on emigrations to South Africa around that time?
