the later births are showing mmn as JAMES, not WOOLRIDGE???????


I'm not saying that Claudia did not have a child called May, but I am wondering if May was the one who caused her mother's death, or whether it was another child, born after May, who was the cause.

The later births are of my uncles and aunts that were born to my grandfather and his second wife Winifred. My mum Lynda was the youngest one.

Claudia did have a child called May I have a picture of her with her daughter and her grandchildren. Ithink the first one you sent me is the right one but I will have to research a little more into it.

All have father's names Davies, mmmn James, none were born in 1913, but all were registered in Bedwellty

My gut feeling would be to try Claudia M first .... if only because of her first name! But she was born soon after the marriage (not at all unusual!!!).


These are later births (1913 or 1914), none seem to connect with the death of Claudia.

It is of course possible that IF Claudia died in childbirth, that the child was born dead, and as such its birth and death would not be recorded. There is a special stillbirth registry, go to www.gro.gov.uk to check the requirements for getting information from this. Basically I think you have to be either parent or sibling of a child on the registry.

Edgar William was born in 1891 abd married Caludia in 1912. We think May was born in 1913 because Claudia died in 1913 and we think this was in childbirth.
Edgar married my grandmother Winifred in 1916 when May was 3.
I hope this will help you as that is all I have.

Hi can anyone help me find any relatives related to Edgar William Davies my granddad. He was born in Brwynmaur Wales he married twice, his first wife was called Claudia James and they had a daughter May. His second wife (my grandmother) was Winifred Woolridge and they had seven children the youngest one is my mum. I have got up to 1901 census but from there I don't seem to be able to find any more information.

I do know his father was William Davies and he married Mary surname unknown yet. They had 8 or nine children one was my grandfather.

Please if anyone has this person/s in thier tree please do get incontact as I would like to compare notes and update my tree if possible. Also I would really love to meet and learn of new family members.
