My grandmother's parent were Charles and Daisy Cooper of Kent. My granmother is Joan born around 1926.

My grandmother was born in Mar 1926 in Wandsworth I believe.

They were from SE London/Kent

I can guess Cagsie has no connection to you. Most people here are volunteers choosing to give up their time to help others with their trees....

...most of us are helping others while we either wait for data for our own trees or because we have become so completely frustrated with our own we need a break!!!

Darren,

Was your grandmothers maiden name the same as her married name ie Cooper?

I have found your mothers birth details, and unless her name didn't change upon marriage, your mother was illegitimate, ie her mother was unmarried when she had her.

Joan F Cooper, mmn Cooper, Wandsworth, 1d 807, 1Q 1926

I would recommend ordering the certificate and seeing if there is a father named on there.
