hi i am trying to find out anything about maria wright born in about 1820 in chappel essex, She married a daniel everitt born in about 1821 in chappel essex. Maria and daniel married on the 23th jan 1842 in chappel essex, they had two sons william was born in 1844 and george was born in 1847. Maria died 8 months later in dec 1847.
I am also tryng to find about her father's name and her mother's name and also to see if she had any brothers and sisters.
Any help will be very grateful.

Hello Susan,
I have had a look. Igi have no Everetts or Wrights on their christening list for that period. The 1841 census shows Maria(age 15!) and Daniel 20 ,in the employ of William and Elizabeth Dean, Farmer HO 107/335/2
There are no other Wrights in Chapel in that year( there are only 9 pages). Lots of Everetts tho',and Daniel could belong to any of them. I think your only bet is parish registers,which I understand are held in Chelmsford. Sorry, Eileen

hi eileen

i have the 1841 census but it only got daniel everitt on it with william and elizabeth dean but no maria.
i know daniel which is the one the 1841 is the right one he married maria in 1842 she must have been 16 at the time and she had two sons william born in 1844 and george born in1847. She died in 1847 8 months after george was born. or maria could have been born in 1818
is this of any help to you.

sorry i took so long in anwsering you but have been away just got back today.
the surrounding areas of chappel are farmimg country, and the maria what eileen found is my great great great grandmother who married daniel.
Do you know any way that i can found out who her father and mother were. Any info would be most grateful.

Eileen again, Why not try the Essex look ups service. There is sure to be someone there that will help you. Just google essex look ups,and then find the village you are looking for. Cheers
