Parents of John Frederick Cooper?

Hi, I'm trying to trace the parents of my Dad, 'John Frederick Cooper' born on the 26 January 1926, maybe in Middlesex and died 20th March 2000. He had sisters Queen & Glad and brothers Bob & Ron, maybe others.

From this I hope to trace my tree backwards through the ages.

Hi Alan on the Freebmd website you will find births of Gladys, John F and Ronald at Brentford, Middx. Mother named as CLACK. With this info you can obtain the certs.

Wow, Thanks very much.

How do you guys do this so quickly, I've spent days and got nowhere?

I guess I now go to Brentford somehwere mentioning the refs given to obtain the birth certificates, then work back from there?

What tools apart from freebmd do you guys use please?
