Member Since: November 2003 Posts: 6 Send Message	Trying to find any relative of John Roberts who was Stationmaster L& NW Railway Mersey Road Halewood Liverpool in1881. !891 together with family he had moved to live in Winnington Northwich I am trying to establish a link back to Llangollen .

Member Since: January 2006 Posts: 99 Send Message	In 1871 he lived in Russell Street, Garston with his wife Mary. occ: Stationmaster. 1861, there's a John Roberts living in Runcorn with his parents. occ: Tailor. His father, Thomas was born in Llanasa, Flintshire, Wales. Can't be sure that this is the same John but hope it helps. RG9; 2598; 100; 29.

Member Since: November 2003 Posts: 6 Send Message	The Garston John i am sure is the same -- He was born in Runcorn 1840c and in 1841 was living with Horton family. The Roberts family originated in Llangollen and settled in St. Helens during 1850's i know that there was a connection with Hortons because my G/G/G/ Grandmother was Betsy Horton. i cannot find any trace of Roberts in 1841 or 1851 census they are on 1861 and birth certs tell me that they were in St. Helens in 1855. thanks for help.
