I am trying to find out any information about my Grandad, William, or Bill, Cook. He married twice, his second wife was Heather ,nee, Golding. He had a daughter, Judy, with his first wife and a son, Alan, with Heather. They lived in Hurstbourne Tarrant. I am unsure of his date of birth, but i no he died in 1979, or very early 1980.
I will be very grateful of any help.
Many thanks

I have found a William Douglas Cook, DoB 05 Dec 1902, died 3Q 1979, ref 20 0053.

This means he wa 77 when he died.

Possibly his birth registration

Births Mar 1903
Cook William Douglas Bradfield 2c 317

As no mothers maiden name was included yet, and Cook is a common name for the area, i would recommend ordering this cert to see who his parents were.

I think the Bradfield RD is the Reading Berkshire area.
