Does ayone have this Davis in their family tree ALFRED DAVIS b abt 1857/9 Birmingham Warwks. Father named John a schoolmaster.
In 1881 Alfred was in the Stoke on Trent workhouse aged 22
I do`nt know the year e left, but in 1885, he married Louisa Geoghan whom he must have met in the same workhouse

She had been in there with her children, Patrick, Grace, Laura and Stephen. The children except for Patrick were sent to Canada in 1885 their srname changed to Gagan.

Louisa and Alfred were on 1891 1901 census stll living in Stoke on Trent, with them was a niece Louisa Thomas

Does anyone know of these people? any info would be gratefully received
