I am trying to trace the Harrison family. They Came from Durnford, Wiltshire. Thomas Henry Harrison was born in 1891 and died in 1981. His father Edward born 1846, In Durnford, was a police constable they moved about a lot and also lived in Marlborough, Ogbourne.st Andrew, Devizes, Corsham and Aldbourne.Thomas moved to and settled down in Stratton.st.Margaret, Swindon, Wiltshire. He fought in the first world war at Ypres. He married his wife was called Katie May Castleman from Rockley/ Ogbourne.st.Andrew, Wiltshire and they had four children.
I would like to trace the family back from Edward and any information would be greatfully appreciated as I am a bit stuck. I know Edward's father was Thomas and this is my problem as there are 2 Thomas Harrisons born in Durnford one in 1829 and the other in 1830 and yet they both had a son called Edward born in 1846 !!! Any help would be welcome.
