Am trying to find info of UK ancestry - or a good site through which I can research this.
Ancestor JOHN JONES (c1830) married EUNICE HARRIS (c1835) in UK. Sometime later sailed to Australia.
I have the names of their children born in Australia (near Ballarat, Victoria).... John Thomas Jones (1863), Arthur Thomas Jones (1865), Charles Henry Jones (1867), Charles Edwin Jones (1869), Albert John Jones (1872) and Frederick Jones (1875)
The info I am seeking ...
When/Where was John Jones (c1830) born in UK?
WhenWhere was Eunice Harris (c1835) born in UK?
When/Where did they marry ?
Did they have any children before arriving in Australia ?
When/where did they arrive in Australia ?

Marriage of John Jones to Eunice Harris. 1848 July/Sept. Qtr. registered in Wolstanton. Staffordshire. vol 17. 293.
If you get a copy of the marriage certificate it will give you their ages, their Father's names and occupations, and witnesses who may be siblings.
1851 census. I think this is them but the writing is very bad on census sheet.
Living Stoke on Trent.
John. 24. Could not read where born.
Eunice 22. Indexed as Rodgrove. but had another look and sure it is Kidsgrove. Staffs.

Vol. 17 293 If you get a copy of the certificate it will give you their ages, their Father's names and occupations, along with witnesses who may be siblings. A further search can then be made for other family.
I think this is them on 1851. but the writing is so bad I cannot be absolutely sure.

Eunice. 22. Born Kidsgrove,. Staffs/ (Index reader shows Rodgrove.)
ROZEA?????? 11 months.
Cannot find them on 1861 so maybe they were on their way by then.

It seems most of the children were born in Clunes, just out of Ballarat, in Victoria. I have info on them.
The info I am seeking is that prior to arrival in Australia ... particularly ...

Were there any children born before arrival in Australia
When/where did they arrive in Australia.
My current thought is that if I knew approx date of arrival I would endeavour to search shipping passenger lists .... if available and accessible
