Looking for info on Cox Family...1 Inverness Road Brighton 1901 census
Robert Cox married Elizabeth Thompson
children...Charles, Elizabeth, John, William, Ellen, Alice
then he remarried Emily Scutt..children, Walter, Bertie, Emily, Kate.
The info that i really need is did they have another daughter born in 1902..Edith Florence? this is my grandmother and it is the only link i can find that could possibly be her family. Help!! thankyou

Look on freebmd for the birth reg'n...........

Or, better still, find her marriage, and get that cert, as it will have her age........plus her father's details.

You need to start from a firm base of facts............

Who did she marry?

You can find out the names of her parents ONLY by buying the cert...............or waiting for 1911 census to be released

My nan married Robert Burchell..I looked on the freeBMD as you suggested and found a marriage for June 1927. That does sound about right as i have in the past seen the marriage certificate when my nan lived with us but have no idea where it could have gone to.I will have to get her birth cert to find out her fathers name though. That does look like her birth reg as she was born on 26th Nov.

Thankyou Ericthered..i knew i had seen the marriage certificate somewhere. My mum has found it. It does show my nans father to be Robert Cox. Hopefully now i can look for more family...

On everything i have on him it just says labourer..
