I'm looking for Frederick Roberts + family on the 1871 census. On the 1881 census, it states that he was born in Taynton, Gloucester 1857 and was 24 yrs of age. At some point he moved to Upton Bishop, Ross where he was married in 1879, but I think that he could still be in the Gloucester area in 1871 at about the age of 14 yrs. Any help on this one would be gratefully received. |

if mary ann is the correct mother of frederick the fact that on 1861 cencus she had 2 brothers living with her with surname of phelps would suggest that phelps was her birth surname. |
