I am looking for information about Emma Wood, born 1890 in Wetherby, W. Yorkshire. Daughter of Laura and William Wood. Trying to find out who she married and when.

Go to freebmd website.....and search for possible marriages

http://freebmd.rootsweb.com/

Or try

http://www.ukbmd.co.uk/

and select Yorkshire

I presume you have some evidence to support the idea that she actually married?

There must be about 20 possibles married in or around that area between 1908 and 1920.

Have you tried looking in members trees for links to the WOOD family?

My evidence to think she was married is just a photo of her with her young son - aged about 18months and taken around 1912. I know that doesn't mean she was def married, but am assuming it. I have searched all the BMD indexes including Yorkshire, but no luck.

Do you know the son's name?

Have you made any searches yourself for the marriage?

Ericthered, rumour has it that the son's name was George. I have searched for the marriage, but no luck. Not 100% sure about the name George though, as it was my late mother (who got confused) who told me. She didn't know the surname either.
