I have searched teesvalley bmd indexes and found.

Christopher Davies born 1863 Middlesbrough
Christopher Davies born 1890 Middlesbrough
Clara Davies born 1894 Middlesbrough
Edith M Davies born 1888 Middlesbrough
John W Davies born 1897 Middlesbrough

All the above match the 1901 Census with the correct spelling Davies.

The 1901 Census looks good.
Pity about the spelling Davis, I have copy of birth certificateand it says Davies although we know errors can be made.
