Trying to find the parents of William Carter

You need to find his birth cert then as he could have told fibs at the marriage. Have you looked for it yourself on freebmd? Why do you have 3 possible places of birth? What is given on the 1901? Do you know the mothers first name? |

His middle name was Henry. I have the information from marriage certificate yes. His father was down as being William Henry Carter and recorded as deceased on the certificate. Does any of this help? |

William Carter is a very common name, there are lots. Did he have a middle name? Have you found him on the 1901 census? |

My great great grandfather was William Carter born 1895. Although his surname is listed as Carter we believe him to be an illegitimate child as this is what my great grandfather told us. Can anybody help me find him? |
