Hi All

Really need some help on my greatgrandmother Catherine Jones.

This is going to be hard as I know nothing of her other than she married my greatgrandfather Arthur Grigg 1884 he was born in Cardiff and I know that his family lived in Penarth, he married my greatgrandmother in 1902 in Cardiff, my grandmother, Catherine Grigg was born in 1920 ! her birth is a long time from their marriage.

I have their marriage cert and her age makes her born about 1866, but then I find information in a tree on Ancestry that she died in Penarth when she was 49 ! She had siblings Edwin Walter Jones.

That is all I have.

Would appreciate any help.

Are you sure about the year of her birth being 1866 -this would make her 54 when your grandmother was born and 18 years older than her husband
What does the marriage cert say re fathers name and occupation and her occupation and witnesses names (they may be relatives)
We need as much info as possible especially when looking for Jons in Wales!

Is it possible that catherine was actually her grand daughter. Do you have her birth cert
