Jessie born c1864 was my great grandmother. She helped raise my mother and any information about her would be appreciated. She married William Burke who was born in Ireland around 1862. They lived in Maesteg Glam. Their son Thomas was my grandfather and my mother's name is Kathleen. I know Jessie died in 1944 and William died in 1926. |

Wow, thank you. yes Julie that definitely is my family! Jessies' maiden name was Baker, thank you Susan, you appear to have found my great great grandparents. Hopefully I'll be able to find out a little bit more about them now for my Mom (84). Would like to trace William back to Ireland. My other maternal grandfather was from Ireland too, apparently studying to become a priest at one stage. This is fascinating. Wish i had the time to get into it in more depth. |

Thanks Susan but none of them are mine. William Burke who was born in Ireland married Jessie Baker born Halberton Devon. I have them living in Maesteg Glams om the 1901 census . |
