Check freebmd.............IF the birth was registered, you can order through the site......follow the links

BUT........birth registration wasn't compulsory until 1875

EDIT...........you are in luck! The birth is on freebmd

How would I go about getting a birth certificate for Francis aged 8?
I feel sure these are mine, but need to confirm somehow.

Please would anyone be kind enough to look up John Francis Allen b cir 1815 and wife Mary. They were living in Conisford, Norwich at time of Census. Possibly have a son living with them Francis Allen aged about 9 years.
