Yes - Bridget would have been 73 when Joan was born.

If you haven't got it already - order Joan's birth cert and work from there.
It should give you the names of both parents.

When my grandmother married my grandad she was living at 23 Eltham Hill, Eltham in 1948.

I have the name of Bridget A Thompson who died in 1931 at the age of 79, but think she may be too old to be my grandmothers mother.... maybe her grandmother?

OK - that helps - will look further.

You will need old electoral rolls to determine who lived at that address.
Maybe a local history society could help with that bit.

My Grandmother Joan P Gunner nee Cooper was born in 1925/26 in Lewisham. Her mothers maiden name was Thompson

I can find no Thompson/Cooper marriages.
Are you working backwards from your grandparents?
Suggest you find grandparents details first.
What info do you know for sure?

Looking for any information on Bridget Thompson who died aged 79 in 1931.

She may be my great (or GG grandmother.

She married a Mr Cooper.

May have lived at 23 Eltham Hill, London SE9.
