If you send for her marriage it will give her age you can then search and find her birth cert. This will then give date of birth and parents. |

Are you sure they married in Millom? There is a birth registered for Raymond C Troughton in o/n/d 1910 in Bootle and there is a marriage registered for James Troughton in a/m/j 1910 in Bootle. Possible spouse could be Elizabeth Jane Bell. However you will either have to get Raymond's birth certificate which will give his mother's maiden name or the marriage certificate. |

So there is a Bootle in Millom is there? Being a Lancastrian I assumed it was Liverpool Bootle. You will need to get some confirmation but from 1901 census it is possible her father was William and her mother was Mary and they lived at Langthwaite Farm. Please get some confirmation though before we go any further. |
