There is no death for a Mary E Moore beween 1924 and 1943 in Beth Gr or Mile End areas ----- she did'nt just leave??
perhaps the children were told she died !!

Do you know what area they were living in when your gr parents married.

Also she was dead in by 1943(My grandparents Mariage) so perhaps she was born 1881

Terry, If it were me I would get both the 1921 birth certificates for Alfred to see if all the details match.

You can order them online from the GRO, costs seven pounds per certificate. I can't think of another way to try to clarify the situation.

Good luck with whatever you decice.

Yeah But Jocye was born around same time.
Joyce is definitely a Moore as i know her.
My dad wont let me get one of the Nobbs births as he think it is unnecessary.
Think she is either one year older or Younger than Charles.
Found it in in DEC quarter 1925.
I reckon Marriage of Moore and seabrook/knobbs did not take place.
Going of for the night. Back about 7.50 am tomorrow morning.
If i can perusade my dad I will get Frank as my dad(and mum) knew him.
They also knew alfred though.

I'm confused - is Alfred registered twice, once under Nobbs and again under Nobbs? see above

Births Dec 1921
Moore Alfred Seabrook Bethnal G. 1c 248

Births Dec 1923
Moore Charles S Seabrook Bethnal G. 1c 261

Could Mary have been born earlier?

Births Mar 1880
Seabrook Mary Elizabeth St. Saviour 1d 113

Quite possible for her to have children in her early 40's/

Selena in South East London Report 4 Sep 2008 21:28

Getting a birth certificate of one of the Nobbs children will give you the father's name.

Births Sep 1912
Nobbs Frank E Seabrook Mile End 1c 656

Births Sep 1918
Nobbs George H Seabrook Bethnal G. 1c 158

Births Dec 1921
Nobbs Alfred Seabrook Bethnal G. 1c 248
