Am trying to find ancestors of William Henry Green born 1905. I have gone back as far as Eliza widow, Albert aged 10 and Amelia aged 1 in the 1861 census but am now well and truely stuck!! Also looking for William's siblings. His parents were Albert George Green and Olive Lucy Turner who married in 1899. I know there was a Henry William, Thomas, Lucy who was a twin and Frederick but have no idea of the names of the other siblings. Can anyone help please. Thank you.

Not 100% sure it is Catherine. Olive Lucy Turner 1880 married Albert George Green18?? in Birmingham in December 1899. I remember Rose, Lucy, Henry, Thomas and Frederick and Dad was William who I was told named after his uncle. Apart from that I'm not sure.

If you don't have this info you can see if it is correct or not by buying the marriage certificate.
This will give you the couples fathers names and professions which will confirm or not the above info.
If you have Albert's birth certificate that will give his parents names and mothers maiden name.

The 1901 census seems to fit with the dates you have given.

~I will get the marriage certificate Catherine. I've just been on the phone to my brother who said they all come from Ladywood so I am really confused now.He has never heard of a Sarah either. The computer also crashed and I've no idea why. Not the best day! Thank you for your help, I really appreciate it.
Brother just called me back, the marriage is right but he also has Albert as being born 1880 in September, he doesn't know anything else (he has Dad's birth certificate) I shall order the marriage certificate for myself, no use waiting for brother dearest!!!!
Thanks Catherine.

Ladywood is an area within Birmingham so bmd would probably be registered there.
The marriage certificate will also give you an address which you will be able to check on the census.
I've had another look at the 1901 census and the couple I have given are living at 6 Stour Street.
Registration district: Birmingham
Sub registration district: Lady Wood

Living next door is Henry Green (widow) and his family.
Henry Green abt 1854 Bham Head Birmingham, Warwickshire
(Slater)
Albert Green abt 1883 Bham Son Birmingham, Warwickshire
Amy Green abt 1889 Bham Daughter Birmingham, Warwickshire
Ernest Green abt 1896 Bham Son Birmingham, Warwickshire
Harry Green abt 1892 Bham Son Birmingham, Warwickshire
Sarah Green abt 1885 Bham Daughter Birmingham, Warwickshire
William Green abt 1880 Bham Son Birmingham, Warwickshire

Probably not the father of Albert, as there is another Albert living with Henry, but could be part of the family. There again it may just be a big coincidence but worth keeping on file.

Wasn't sure exactly where Ladywood was so googled it and fell on this web site maybe you'd like to have a look if your family is from there:-

Thank you Catherine, there is a lot there for me to look at.Guess I am going to be kept busy for a while.I don't know where Stour Street was so that is something else to check out. You have been most helpful and I think I may actually be able to trace Dad's roots, I just wish he were alive to enjoy it with me.
