What exactly are you wanting to know, Sadie. If you want to get in touch with any of her siblings and you know in which town they live (assuming they are still living), see if there is a local paper that does a 'looking for' column Have you put her name on the Quick Search on genes.

If you want to go back - if you have not already got her birth certificate, I would suggest you get a copy. She was born in 1924 and her birth is registered j/a/s at W Derby, ref 8b 1021. Her mother's maiden name was indeed Coughlin but if you get a copy you will also find out her father's first name which would help you to find their marriage and this certificate hopefully would give their ages at marriage and thus you could look for their birth certifcates and so on and so on.

Hi all. Am new to this but i am trying to find any info and relatives of my nan. Her name is Lilian Taylor she was born 5 september 1924 or 1925 in Derby [ died July 1981]. Her mothers name might be coughlin. She married my Grandad Frederick Houghton on 14 September 1946. They lived in Widnes Cheshire. They had 3 children Kenneth born 1948, Barry born 1953 and my mother Lorraine born 1956. She had quite a lot of siblings but i only know the names of some of them, and where they may still live. There names are Christine who married a Jimmy Mitchell and lives in Aryshire Scotland. Robert or Bob who is married and lives in Skegness, George who was married and lives in Toton Notts, Sheila who was married and emigrated to Australia in the late 60's early 70's. Hope someone can help.
