I have been trying to trace an Elspeth Ross who lived in South Africa. It is possible she or one of her offspring was either married to my father Ernest Blakeborough or had children with him. I think she was a nurse and was British. The last comunication from her was from Nelspruit in South Africa in 1985 telling his brother Alan that Ernest had died in 1973 in Dar es Salaam. I would love to make contact with any half siblings |

I believe that some of their descendents migrated from Scotland (Aberdeen Area) to South Africa. In particular descendents of their son George Stott (b c 1828) who married Jane Tunbull and was the only child to remain in Scotland when the rest of the family migrated to Australia. They had the following children George b 1867, Elizabeth b 1869, Jane b 1871, James b 1873, Jessie b 1876, William be 1878, William b 1880, Robert b 1882 and Frank b 1885. If anyone has any information about any of these in particular the South African connection I would be most grateful to have it. |
