Maxine she would be 17 in 1914 so old enough to marry. If she married another Martin then the name is common enough for her husband to be unrelated

hi everyone,ive been looking on the fbmd site and think i may have found my harriet emily martin.b 1897,but it has a marriage to a spouse as a martin,in 1914 fulham,could it be possible to marry another martin? could you marry cousins etc,im confused? im still looking for other martins so dont know about the cousin bit,also how young was acceptable to marry back then? thanks any answers appreciated!!! maxine x

hi maxine acheaper way to do it is to use the checking system on GRO each check is £3 and you can ask them to stop when they find the right one

also,if she didnt marry will i still be able to find her later in life rather than just when she was born? sorry it gets a bit confusing!!!

Maxine I''m afraid that this information is not going to be easy or cheap ofr you to find, Martin is quite a common name.

I suggest that you look at the marriages for Harriet E Martin to see just how many there are. To find which is your Harriet you will need to order marriage certs one at a time until you find the correct one, bearing in mind that your Harriet may not have married.

good morning everyone,hope this finds you well! im asking for your valuable help once again,im trying to find out about my greatgrandmothers siblings,i have all their names ,im trying to find out about them one at a time,firstly i want to find harriet emily martin born c.1897,parents were samuel alfred martin and matilda lehan,harriet was born in london,any info on marriage and children would be a great start! im going to look after the nursery run this morning but any help would be fantastic! maxine
