thomas was originally born in either summerhell or marchwiel, registration district was wrexham........ as of his daughter elsie roberts wedding cert he is shown as a collier. other than that i've drawn a blank every where

i'm really struggling to get information on thomas roberts, he married mary ? who later married an edwards.... in between this though they had my great nan elsie roberts in june 1897 and i have just found out today from my great nan's marriage cert that she alway had a sister called bessie roberts..... thomas roberts was not shown as deceased on the marriage cert so i'm assuming he was alive on 19th april 1924 when she married, by the time my great nan had her 1st child in 1926 she put her maiden name as edwards as is shown on her death cert.......... i can't find anything to say whether thomas roberts died and when mary married the man edwards........ i'm also confused as to why after being married herself would use her mothers new husbands surname as her maiden name, is this really likely..... any help please even to point me in the right direction
