Cannot find his birth on freebmd .. 1901 census he was a carpet planner lodging in Tottenham and eventually married head of house who was my husbands grandmother but have no idea of his background! Would be very grateful of any help ..

	is it not this one (if you got his birth yr from the census it could have also been late 1861) Births Sep 1861 WATSON Frank Shoreditch 1c 152 Shoreditch seems to be the district for hoxton

	Dorothy I deleted my post as i found that same family on the 1901 But just be wary of that birth Julie PS...Have just checked cos on the 1901 he was show as Frederick and the good news is there are 2 births to cover that one

Barbara Have just been taking that census in and think it could be him as have some old bills from Bury st Edmunds in with photographs but never gave any thought that he came from there as born in London. My husband taking a good look at that now!! Very interesting...thankyou.

	you really do need to get his marriage certificate ..... otherwise you're fishing in the dark, and making assumptions. and could spend months (and maybe much money) going after the wrong guy sylvia
