Very true! The Trying to Find board has been brilliant and given me loads to go on when I have time to do more myself. All much appreciated. |

GR isnt much help as it doesnt show family groups and you can spend a lot of money buying the wrong images from them. |

That's brilliant - thank you so much. I'm baffled as to why when I've searched censuses via Genes Reunited, it tells me there are no matches when quite clearly the names are there after all! Very irritating! No I haven't got the marriage certificate but was wondering whether to send for it. I think it must be the right one as when I checked the births index there was only one Annie Eveline Warner. My mother-in-law must have been mistaken when she thought they were married at St Andrews, Leytonstone - she probably assumed that as they lived in the parish. Interesting that the Halls were all practical men - carpenters, builders etc - the skill unfortunately did not come down to my father-in-law or my husband!! But maybe something to do with the fact that after Annie died George withdrew into his shell and didn't really talk much to poor little 6 year old Laurie, so certainly wouldn't have passed on his skills. So, I'll get the marriage certificate so I can try and trace the Warner family back. |

It would help if you put one of the census up that you have found them ? |
