Thanks Nerine , I'll follow that up. I only have Melbourne from his marriage cert and death cert , but as I can't yet find when his family arrived, I guess it could be possible Cheers Dee

He was born apx 1852 melbourne but i can't find record. His father was also Francis James Clarke, and his mother Ellen (possibly Flynn) He married Mary Ann Purdon in StArnaud in 1885, and died 1921 in Brunswick. He also remarried Martha Mckeown in 1903 in Donald. Any help would be appreciated
