If its army records you are tracing. There is forcesreunited.com who I found helpful. They sent me a number and a website address by way of contact. Researching my grand dad WW2 etc. Think it covers more than just army as well. Getting older, without looking it up cannot give any further information. Memory is not what it used to be

Hi Ian
These records are not available online,still held by the RAF records but only next of kin can apply for them, there is a cost involved at least £30

is there any web sites that list national service records particualy the royal air force . Am trying to trace my wifes fathers time in national service
