Find Ancestors

Any info on John Giles Walker born Maryport 1849, would be great. I have been looking for a year now and no further forward than info found at the start of the search.
He married Elizabeth Mary Hay in 1873 and the marriage cert shows him living at that time in Seghill, Northumberland. Father shown as Joseph Walker, Grocer.There is plenty of detail on the 1881 and 1891 census which shows him living in Whitley Bay and Earsdon, Northumberland but I can find no trace of him at all prior to the marriage.
He was my great grandfather and he really is the key to the family history. Nearly tearing my hair out trying to find information

I did find the same John G Walker on the 1871 census but the occupation Printer/Compositor didn't seem quite right. He is shown on 1881 census as Grocer/Draper but guess that could easily have changed.
The Richard Walker aged 20 is interesting, that info wasn't on the census listing I looked at. Will try and find a link through Richard Walker. Thanks Again

The name patterns for the family you found do match John Giles Walker's children. Can't understand why he added a John. Also one of his sons was actually christened John Giles.
