Member Since: February 2008 Posts: 9 Send Message	Thomas is my maternal GGranddad. he was born in manchester in 1853 and was a fireman at a gas works in Manchester. he married my GGrandma Mary Ellen Birchall b 1855 at Manchester Catherdral 1st January 1873. they lived at Marshall St Red bank,a district of Manchester near to Collyhurst. They had the following children Mary b 1877, Thomas jnr b 1879, William b 1881, Henry b 1883, Emily B 1886, Sarah b 1888, Ebenezer b 1889, Edith (my grandmother) may 1891, Joseph b 1897, Annie b 1898, Walter born 1902. Henry had one leg, I believe he lost in childhood. Mary went on to have grocers shops in Collyhurst and also money lending ventures. she also had connections with manchester Smithfield market as some of the family were market traders. I'd be grateful to find out any info on Thomas's parents as I don't have anything on them and whether he had any siblings thanks Joanne
